MMAPayout is reporting that Elite XC’s ratings are down 40% and 1.9 from overnights, from their first show on CBS.  The first show had 4.3 million viewers to last nights show with 2.6 million.

This may be surprising to CBS but to no one else.  The first show featured Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano.  People wanted to witness the first major network covering MMA as well.  I don’t think CBS and Elite XC gained any new fans from their first fight.  Although the production was much better than the first (a lot less like WWE this time around) they didn’t have any big headliners except Robbie Lawler and most of America hasn’t heard of him.

I do expect the October show to rebound because Slice and Carano are slated to fight again but they should not expect to beat their initial 4.3 million any time soon.
