Affliction has the backing of Donald Trump along with their clothing line, has the some of the best MMA fighters in the world and has put on a top notch fight card production, but it has no fighting promotion website or at least nothing with any value.
Affliction’s official website is http://www.afflictionclothing.com. You then have to click on the Entertainment tab at the top. A sweet promotional poster from “Day Of Reckoning” comes on the scrren with a pcture of Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett. You think your just a click away from fight updates, fighter profiles and stories….but after clicking on the picture you find yourself at UNLVtickets.com to buy tickets for Affliction’s next show. That’s it.
Affliction’s first promotion “Banned” still has a link and had a decent site posted but nothing for their October 11th “Day Of Reckoning”.
With Affliction trying to be the premier MMA organization how can they not have an official fighting site? Even if they keep it through their clothing site for marketing purposes, they need to allocate some money on an updated fighting site.
MMA is becoming much more popular but not yet mainstream. ESPN has begun to cover minor things but a fan or follower cannot turn on the TV (for the most part) or open a newspaper to get results, injury updates, fight cards, etc. Most fans rely on the Internet for their information.
Affliction is dropping the ball on their fans, missing out on revenue, and giving their main competition (UFC) a leg up on them.

This was terribly frustrating. I found this out the other day, and you have nailed it on the head.
How can they believe they will succeed when you can’t even get an official fight card?

I don’t believe it’s “official” but it seems to break news about the event ahead of other sites.

Ya, that can’t be official…they link other websites for their news. If it was official they wouldn’t need other sites to break their news. Affliction should think about buying it and building it up though.
