Affliction Day of Reckoning: Arlovski vs Fedor

Affliction has made several changes to their Day of Reckoning fight card in the past several months. It started out to be October 11th and was moved after poor ticket sales. This could probably be attributed to the lack of the “Fedor Factor”. It was confirmed a while back that Fedor would fight on the new date but against whom was up in the air. Not anymore! MMA Rated confirmed that Andre Arlovski will fight Fedor Emelianenko on the upcoming fight card.
The date still hasn’t been set in stone but is being looked to take place on January 24th which would bring us January 17th with UFC 93, January 24th Affliction Day of Reckoning, and then January 31st UFC 94. My god what a month of monster events and fight cards. Just when we thought July brought some of the biggest fights and cards, we get this.
Even better, Affliction has decided to make it an all MMA card on January 24th.
“We sat down with them and couldn’t come up with a main event boxing match that everyone wanted,” Atenco said.
Unless you have a huge name fighting, it’s probably not a good idea to mix the two.
Andrei Arlovski took on Roy Nelson in Elite XC Heat and won via KO in round 2. He will now take on a much better opponent to start his fights of 2009. This is a huge fight and will be for the WAMMA championship. We will get more from WAMMA on this later to confirm and what it means for WAMMA.

We will see , the pitbull is a well rounded fighter but the last fight with nelson did not seem much of a challenge and to be quite honest arlovski looked out of shape and just a question how long since fedor has had a mma match?
