Randy Randy Randy...why should you still hold the heavyweight belt when you haven't fought and most likely will never fight in the UFC again?  Personally I believe that Dana should conjure some sort of clause for holding a championship title belt if you've been inactive in a certain amount of time.  Clearly this will make everything more exciting and we wouldn't have to have a headlining fight be "Bisping vs Leben".  If someone brings a legal matter to the UFC while holding a belt they should be stripped of their title and commence to the blind jury of monkeys...err i mean peers.

Give it up and quit being a chump.  There's other fighters in the heavyweight division that deserve the belt a lot more than you now since you will not fight in the UFC again.  Good luck in your future but the UFC is no longer your home and you've stated that on numerous occasions.  Hell give me the belt if need be.  I'll stand in the ring and get knocked out for a 30K payday.

Yes, he should relinquish the belt. When you plan on breaking your contract or holding out when still under contract, you should not have rights to the belt. I love Randy but what he did was wrong. He agreed to the terms at the time and I think she should follow up on his word and signature.

Mos def I totally agree with you, I haven't looked into the situation all that much but it definitely pisses me off. I do not sympathize with anyone that breaks contract of any sort (like going AWOL in the military) and have lost a lot of respect for a man so revolutionary for the sport as Couture was.

I love him but have lost respect also. He is in the same category as T.O. now. The UFC was making him a ton of money outside the ring as well (his gym, sponsers, book, movies, etc).

If the UFC was making you go through all the BS that they're making him go through to fight else where, you wouldn't just give them the belt back either.

he would if he knew how much an impact this is having in my life, i'm losing interest in UFC because of it and the cards aren't keeping my MMA tainted loins at a near orgasmic euphoria, i must just have to start watching replays of Strikeforce and Pride here if I don't get some heavyweight contention for the UFC belt

The UFC doesn't have much for heavyweights, Affliction has kind of stepped up and took the Heavyweights.

As I was saying in my post about wieght classes, the heavyweights suck and could be beaten by a lot of the light heavyweights. But this makes the heavy wieght class look so much worse.A fortyfive year old man holding on to the title built and not defending it for a year!In his days, Randy was a star, but now at fortyfive, he should considering retiring in style.Maybe one more great fight against Fedor and than he should hang it up.Do you guys think the UFC will bring Fedor in to challenge Randy for the belt?

Dana has sour grapes I think. Fedor said the money was there but he wanted to be able to do other things that UFC didn't want. You know how it is when someone rejects you... you have a little resentment.

Ah that's too bad.It would be a gode oppertunity for Randy to defend his belt.Yeah.He should just relinquish it.Maybe can fight on Affliction for a while before he retires from MMA.

Randy resigned his belt and job for UFC. He has no intention of ever defending it inside the UFC, and Dana lost out on contract negotiation with Fedor over exclusivity not money.

yea, Fedor is fighting in Dream and Affliction, good on him...everyone should make their own choices about life and if the UFC didn't feel right then it's his perogative, i give him maddddd props for not giving into the system, everyone's knows FEDOR anyways when it's spoken or typed on a forum, it was just a shame that he was out of action for so long
