Probably for 2 reasons: He wants to make as much money as possible and since his fights generally don't last long he can fight more.  I would like to see him 4 times a year but he may need to fight a couple at 205 or he won't have any worth while ones.

very true, since the BJ/GSP fight won't happen GSP should come up and fight some middles

Remember that he's only defended his title once. I'd still like to see him fight the winner of the Sanchez-Alves fight....Hopefully Sanchez.

Does anyone really think that Cote has a chance? I just dont see it.

I dont think that GSP wants to fight the bigger guys. He is big for welterweight but not so big for middleweight. He is doing well where he is and does not strike me as the type to move up.

I'am not paying fifty bucks for about thirty seconds of action. The only fight on the card that I like is Diego Sanchez vs. Thiago Alves.Thinking of just streaming it.Maybe we can make predictions about how quick the knockout/TKO will come in the main event!

Thiago will destroy Sanchez. Thiago imo is getting near that next tier of fighter that GSP and BJ are in, plus he's friggen huge for 170. He couldn't even make weight against Matt, and thats all muscle weight.

Ya the Silva Cote fight is going to be awesome to watch Cote get knocked out but the Thiago fight is gonna be what I'm more interested in watching.
