Yeah I was just informed that brock is fighting randy... wtf lol. I think brock is going to get fucked up. I think brock will be a legendary fighter.. but I dont think he's ready for randy couture.

I think for two reasons: there is no depth in the heavyweight division and because of money. This is going to be a HUGE fight for PPVs and that's the real bottom line.

I think it does present problems for Couture though. He is fighting another wrestler that is 40-50lbs heavier than him and that was a great collegiate wrestler. Randy has way more experience and isn't called "The Natural" for no reason though. This will be a 5 round fight and Randy's cardio is always fantastic. He has also faired well recently against heavier opposition in Silva and Gonzaga.

I don't think Lesnar deserves it, but I can't wait to watch it.

whoever wins from the mir fight and the lesnar fight will fight for the undisputed title or w/e. At least that's what I got from it.

There are two belts right now. Randy's and Nog's. The winner of Randy/Brock will fight winner of Nog/Mir consolodating the belts to one tru champmion.

I want Randy to win no doubt. But to look at this from realistic stand point, Lesnar is much bigger and much much stronger then Randy. But we've seen this before...Randy vs Sylvia, and Randy destroyed him...So lets hope Skill>Power again..

i would love to see mirs face if brock wins though.. like "oh shit i gotta fight that behemoth again"

I just think its very elitexc for the UFC to put the fights in the order that they have them now.. nog and mir obviously should have the first shots.. its like giving the guy who doesnt get gold silver or bronze a match to get the gold..

i just want randy to finish up his bs with UFC so he can FINALLY fight FEDOR before he is 50!!!

but they get shot regardless. brock would be fighting winner of couture vs mir/nog if they did it other way first. the reason it happened this way is because of Money and the TUF 8 is already set for Mir and Nog to fight.

Now Scrappy...I cannot wholeheartedly agree with your reasoning, in another thread we discussed that Mir shouldn't be getting a shot at Nog in the first place and I fully back that, so to go out of the beaten path and say that Mir is 1. going to beat Nog easily and 2. that Mir is going to be wary of having to fight Brock again,  he did submit him in under a minute their first bout

see my post about big money fights...... in the "Does Frank Mir Deserve" post.

This was meant sarcastically, but apparently, I had Dana pegged.

I think that Dana should give the shot to who ever will make the biggest money draw.(Lesnar) Then if he orchestrates it carefully, he can bill The champ as the most DOMINANT HEAVY WEIGHT OF ALL TIME by matching him up against people that he can beat.

But seriously Werdum or Gonzaga are good choices for a title shot. Who has Frank Mir beat recently but Lesnar? If beating Lesnar = title shot, then Lesnar should have the title shot first.

Well I know that the UFC is a business. I have no problem with that. The problem comes in when they try to bill people as number one contenders when they did nothing to be the number one contender except be a crowd draw. The most confusing thing about the UFC is that there is no clear cut ranking system.

that's the best thing about the UFC too though, we get to see fights that you don't really get to see with top names that you normally wouldn't get to see all that often
