They've been talking about it a lot recently. My two cents. I think heavy weight should cap at 240 pounds. This will leave room for more fighters at super heavy weight. If they keep the cap at 265 they are only going to have a hand full of fighters in the super heavy weight division. I do believe there needs to be a super heavy weight because guys like brock who have to cut weight to BARELY make 265 are just destroying the guys who walk around at 220. I would explain more but I just woke up and my head hurts. Post your thoughts.

if they weigh 220-230 they can cut to 205. Fighters like Carwin are just too fuckin big for those guys. Both Carwin and Lesnar are the biggest and strongest fighters in the UFC and both move pretty quick for men that weigh 280-290.
Lashley is a huge mother fucker as well, and looks as explosive as Lesnar. And looks as dangerous. It'll only be due time before the UFC signs him as well.
Mir will have a tough time against Lesnar, as versatile as Mir is with his BJJ I feel Brock has this one in the bag with a R1 TKO (Mind you I hate both Brock and Mir). I have a feeling Carwin is gonna embed Gonzaga's head into the canvas as well with those 5XL gloves.
I don't think Kongo is gonna want to keep it standing with Antoni Hardonk (check out Hardonk's K-1 fights and you'll understand why), Kongo will most likely take it down and lay on him for the win.
and Valasquez.. He looks talented but we all want to see him fight the top tier fighters.
Nogueira, it's sorta uncertain for him. I don't want him to end up a gatekeeper like Herring. But yeah, the smaller HW's should cut to 205.

I don't think they'll be making a super heavyweight division anytime soon as long as fighters are able to cut to 265. If they can't, there's always K-1. They have most of the top tier lightweights and a few prospect fighters. Their New Years card kicked ass. Unfotunately they have Bob Sapp and Hong Man Choi. Sapp weighs 375. But does he ever blow. Which reminds me, check this out.
My husband and I had a huge fight over ther very same thing.
Let me just say that I am not a fan of them allowing fighters to cut weight. Not because it isnt healthy or crap like that, but because they should fight at their natural weight. (maybe this will inspire a reaction)
I think that they need a heavier class. I mean what if a 7.4 dude wants to fight how could he possibly weigh 265? If enough fighters that are heavier than 265 are good enough to fight in the UFC I am sure that a class will open up.
I think its all a matter of time. No different than when they were waiting for enough 155'rs. Once there are enough there will be a class for them. 145's will have a spot soon too.
