I think it has to be a deal with ESPN. NBC is a too Trump Loving to not choose Affliction if it were going to go MMA.
Though Mat thinks its sactioning in New York for MMA. I'm not sure though because that wouldnt just be good for Dana. Especially if you consider that the WWE has exclusivity at Madison Square Garden and only with Trumps connection to McMahon would there be a legit MMA fight there.
But the thing is, the announcement is/was supposed to just be for employees according to Dana. If that's the case, the announcement would make sense if it was about sanctioning in NY. I guess we'll find out Tuesday for sure.
Something fell through however it's still interesting. Is he there to babysit? I am interested to see his capacity. Until now he has been a pretty silent owner (on the surface). Hopefully it will be good but only time will tell.
I think that they are going to tell Dana to shut the hell up and refine the UFC executive image. He can't be acting like the fighters and be a corporate figurehead.
Not that it is relevant, but what is up with that suit with no tie? (When he starts the TUF fights)
It looks so tacky and he looks dirty when he does that.Small mistakes at this level can cause big problems down the line.
I think his image has helped him thus far but it's probably gotten too big for him to be the top top. He can still be VP of something or executive VP but he may have grown the UFC bigger than himself.
If the UFC ends up having any sort of partnership with WWE or any of that other steroid induced fake bullsh!t it will mean the end of all good things to come. Dana should make a deal with the Mohegan Sun casino right by my house. They have IFL fights there like every month and it's right down the road from my house back home. Midway between both Boston and NYC so could prove to be a very profitable experience.
