Dana White wants Forrest vs. Liddell and that's why he hasn't announced any plans yet.

That's what Liddell wants.  Check out the video:

I can't wait to watch Chuck KO Evans and then get to see 2 of my favorite fighters take each other on for the belt, I wonder what's goin on with Forrest right now, he hasn't had all that much media attention that I've seen...besides us on here talkin about him :)

I think you are right murderer, depending on who he fights of course. They may match him with a sure loser so they can parade him around some more. Try to make people forget he is a crybaby.

I must disagree, Dana wants action...and lots of it, hence why he's letting the Penn/GSP fight happen on Superbowl weekend

Yes, but Dana still has his favorites, and for some reason Forrest is one of them. I think that he is a disappointment for a champion.

Forrest is the favorite because he "brought the UFC into the public" with his fight against Bonner. (As said on the TUF 25 countdown)

Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans Battle of the TUF winners for the Light heavyweight title

I'm calling that right now, and thats exactly how they will market it.

I think forrest completely deserved a title shot. he proved it himself by beating the champ. I don't see how people think rampage won that. Griffin controlled him almost the whole time. He even dropped some bombs on rampage almost knocking him out. But yeah, I'm with murderer.. I think he's going to be fighting Evans

I think he's going to be fighting Evans   Am sure I've said this I don't think Jackson deserved the title shot in the first place. If you look at all the times he got knocked out in PRIDE you have to say huh? this guy was the light heavy weight champion? It was just this weird thing where no one could beat Lidell so Dana looked to the last guy that beat him (and he really did beat him).Chuck and Jackson's fighting styles seem to clash beacause they both rely entirely on wrestling and boxing skills.Jackson seemed to find a loop hole in Lidell's excellent takedown defense and was able to contantly take him down.Liddel's unorthodox style of striking never seemed to work for Jackson, for Jackson's boxing skills proved to be far superier.
In the end though, Jackson won the belt fare and square but Jackson still never learned to be a well rounded fighter neglecting important things such as jujitsu and defense against the Muay Thai clinch.
Enough said I don't really think Griffen deserved the shot (Liddell should have got it) but he definately put Jackson to shame when he applied his jujitsu skills.Griffen seems to be constantly improving his ground game and I agree, Griffen definately won the fight and it was because of that.
So in the end Griffen is champion (fair and square), but not for long. I'am really counting on him fighting Lidell.Lidell wants what's rightfully his and I want to see him get it!

At any rate, I think that the UFC would be better served with a better champion, This whole Forrest Rampage situation is ridiculous. I am a rampage fan, but if he as unstable as they say then what is the big deal about Forrest beating a crazy man who is not at the top of his game?

I would be more impressed with Griffin if he had actually controlled Rampage. In my mind, you arent controlling some one you cannot finish.

MMA is not only about who is the most well rounded. Is that where the sport is headed? I certainly hope not.
If that is the case then that is a totally different standard. To me most well rounded is becoming another word for just the most mediocre, and average.(do they get points if they can bake a cake too? COME ON!!
If your strength is strong enough you can deflect others attacks. Too many people in MMA are becoming a jack of all trades master of NONE!! all in the name of being "well rounded" This is the cause of all of these lack luster fights where no one cares about winning only not losing!

Well, Dana can market Rashad vs Griffin all he wants. That only serves to highlight the point that they dont care about the best fighters, they want to create a brand and support the brand. SAY IT AINT SO!! I want to know that the UFC is showcasing the best fighters, not just the best who can be molded by the UFC.

I thought the whole point of MMA was to be well rounded between more then one martial art. I like it better this way, don't you remember how boring fights were before? when a BBJ would kick the shit out of a street fighter in 30 seconds, the guy would have no chance. At least now fighters are skilled in more then one, even two martial arts now a days.
