Lemme know what you think, but aside from the scott smith robbie lawler fight.. it seemed that every night was set up for the big names in elite xc to just take out some nobody on national tv. whats with that? every single fight set up so the big name knocks someone out.. whats the point, how do you build a franchise like that?
I mean get some more even fights, i know they got a few big names together, but for the most part none of their divisions have real depth.

lemme know your thoughts.

also.. why the hell didnt scott smith throw some freakin knees.. he woulda had him:evil:

I agree. The proof is in the fact that most of the fights ended without a decision.

The fights were rigged, not by the judges or refs, but by the organizers.

I don't think they were rigged I just think they don't have stacked talent. Affliction may run into this soon as well after their 2nd or 3rd productions. You have a couple bigger names but no one else. They are only left to fight all the first timers you bring in.

Not rigged in the winner is pre-determined and the fight is geared that way. Rather, that the winner is obvious.

I want even fights, fights that go to decision unless they are both idiots scared of fighting.

Yeah I mean take for instance Kimbo's last fight.. the guy he "beat" had a cauliflower ear the size of a grapefruit, one good shot and it opens and the fight is over... What happens? Kimbo is dominated the whole time, gets one shot to that ear and instead of losing (which would have happened shortly thereafter) he cuts the guys ear and the fight ends with a "win".

It was BS - I mean i know kimbo can brawl and i know he's learning to fight, but its the same thing with the tank abbott fight, your just putting someone in there to get KO'd or TKO'd, no real skill or talent but a great media pull. With cauliflower ear it was one shot and with tank abbott, all you have to do is wait for the tank to run empty and he beats himself.

then again, every promoter/fighting organization has to start somewhere

i have to agree with each and every one of you that had some sort of input on the EliteXC debaucle, I saw the fights after the live showing and they were all set up in HEAVY favor, i would like to see the actual payouts of the fighters, i'm pretty sure that those fights that the underdogs signed to had a lil extra pocket change for that new Benz or in Kimbo's case an extra "slice" of rock, lol, would you take a fight with someone you were 90% sure was going to knock the fucken life out of you? sure it could be your big shot but I would've been "fuck you shaw, why don't you get your fatass in there and fight in the heavyweights and pay yourself, i'm not going to be humiliated and take a loss on my MMA record for you to help this organization"

as you can see, i'm a winner, and i'm hateful, and i'm workin 12 on/12 off, for no reason, good thing i got MMA Chump to keep me busy (i'll sign the contract for the commercial after i go smoke this cig)

The fighter salaries from the event last weekend is up on the home page. Total pot of $533,501 and almost half (200K) went to Antonio Silva.

Yeah and he wasn't even the headliner. Strange way to payout. If they want better fighters, they're going to have to get the payouts higher.
