There are a few of us on here every day posting and I love you all for continuing to post but let's call a spade a spade, the forum is dead.
Why do you think people don't join? Are they already on other more active sites? Should we post all blogs in the forum as well for discussion? Should we just cut the forums and use blogs only (every one can blog anyways so you could start topics with a post and comments)?
I don't want to close the forum but having an inactive forum is worse in my opinion as having no forum at all.
Maybe something to do with Youtube? All the other active MMA sites have youtube channels. I myself have a pretty active youtube channel, on September 2nd I made a video about the Couture vs Lesnar phone conference and I advertised this site on that video.
I think it's a great idea but I'm not sure I would have time to do it regularly. Maybe instead of typing my predictions, do a video of it and post it on YouTube?
I'd hate to see this forum go down.Yes, I think having a video and then having it linked to the sight is the best way to recruit people.But it seems to me today,that alot of fans have about a dozen mma forums that they go to so that's why there are so many one time posters on this forum.I've seen all the big forums with tons of posters but there are just too many racists and Lesnar fans that piss my off on those forums.That's why I don't go to them.That's why I the advertisment for this forum should be "For the true mma fan!"
We could widen our aim. Right now the site is primarily for mma fans, why not add a few more forums that target upcoming fighters or potential mma practitioners. Some good ideas would be Q&A about equipment , techniques, training and an area to talk about progression as a fighter.
in short let's aim some forum advertisement towards amateur fighters, it would increase activity
I miss you guys, but I kinda have to pop in and out so waiting forever just is not an option. Recently I timed it and it took 3 min and the page still was not loaded. If i log back in in a new window it is faster.
Hey guys.I'am in rural Thailand now with limited internet access.I'am still trying to keep up with the forums wile I can.I'll try to post some photos as well.It's really nice out here.I'am planning to see some Muay Thai fights and get a little training if I can.
Can we move some of the older posts to an archive area so the newer stuff will show up better and newcomers can see what is going on? Threads for fights that have already happened could go there. Just a thought.
Still in Thailand.Missed the last two fights and therefor have nothing to talk about.No one seems to be interested in showing mma fights nover here so I have to try to catch them on justin t.v.. I keep getting to town too late in the morning though since no one has the internet where I stay. It sucks.
What happened to the guy who runs the site? lol what happened to everyone who use to post here everyday? Did we miss the memo to go MIA? We went from having like 130 ppl online in one day to ... 3? hahaha brutal.
