What got you hooked on MMA?

For me it was my buddies always watching MMA fights when I was over.  I had no option but to watch and was slowly getting into each fight more often.  Now I'm hooked and can't get enough.

I just kept on noticing it while flicking through the channels, and soon I would stop and watch pretty often, and then I started watching it quite often.

Same here. I had a friend who was a hardcore fan of the sport. He would rent fight videos all the time and we would spend the weekends watching them.

I think we all would say friends at some point. I have an additive personality though so when i watched my first fight i went and got all the DVDs i could find. Then it was over, thats all i wanted was more and more.

I took Tae Kwon Do In high school. I had a talent for it and did really well in competition.

I watched the first UFC in 93. They held a couple of them here in Louisiana near where I live. Since it was a sort of underground thing for a while, some of us took it as ours. It just became a part of the things I liked to do.

I have rented every UFC available in the video store, and not missed a PPV in about 6 years.

I reaalized the UFC was on spiked T.V..Before that it was always on PPV so I had never really gotten into it.I've practiced numerous martial arts in the past and I was always obsessed with fighting as an art.Now I'am debating over practicing at an mma studio or a Ralph Gracie Jujitsu/Kravmaga studio.

I was into MMA back in the 90's when I was doing Judo back in elementary. If I remember the first thing that got me actually hooked on the UFC MMA scene and what it is today was Ultimate Knockouts 1 because i never spent my money on anything except for bud and beer before I joined the Military
