I'm down for anything with a solid card backing it. Consistently of course, and I believe right now UFC is still holding true to that and once EliteXC finishes their "rite of passage" as a commonplace organization they'll have it going good too. IFL is my weakspot since they're always throwing down right by my house when I take leave and go back to CT.

Forgot to mention Affliction in there. I'm unsure of what is to come for them. With a card based solely around heavyweight classes right now they still managed to put on a good show somewhat, but I need diversity in my MMA addiction. So for now...thumbs down but honorable mention for bringing Fedor back into the cage and halting Arlovski ruining his life in the boxing ring

I think you can compare this to pro wrestling. Meaning, the UFC is the WWE, they will always be the marquee name with the most money and hype machine. Affliction will be the WCW and go toe to toe with UFC but then fall in a few years. Elite XC is the ECW and will be the stepchild of the big boys and won't get the top names or if they develop a top name, the will lose him to the two big boys. Why UFC is like the WWE and will be top dog is, affliction might someday have the best fighters like WCW used too. But marketing and promotion is where the UFC like WWE will always beat out affliction.

Consistent money wins and the UFC seems to be printing money right now. Trump has a lot to offer Affliction but he will cut bait before he over spends on something that isn't giving him return.
UFC in genral but WEC is good for watching the featherwieghts. The thing I don't like about Affliction is that no elboing a downed opponent rule. That really sucks!
Does Crocop still fight actively in Croatia? What do you think caused to be less popular in the US? Do you think that the ring had anything to do with that? Do you think the calibar of fighters in pride was equal to UFC?
=>Crocop has never been fighting a MMA bout within Croatia (only K1 fights long time ago), he spent most of his career in Japan. I was always dreaming to see him once at the end of fighting career in Croatia against some top heavyweight (Minotauro if possible).

=> Actually real MMA fun, knowing his earlier acomplishments, respect Mirko since he is true fighting legend. I guess that Americans are generally concentrated on their own neigbourhood, probably large majority have never heard for Croatia..
There are few factors of Mirko's recent poor performance. He is definately one of the best HW ever but with some oscilations mostly related to psychological issues (lack of motivation, then later being affraid of another loss..). The cage adaptation, or elbow defence unexperience are not importan factors as I believe. The one thing that I could point out is that he become one dimenzional fighter for some reason. He should be more agressive and use verity of his standup weapons (not only rely on left direct, and left mid/high kicks). He is not one dimensional, that's for sure.

=> At least I would say.. Minotauro, Barnet, Crocop, Fedor, Werdum, Kharitonov, Alex Emilianenko, Coleman, Kerr, Wanderlei, Shogun, Arona, Rampage....The events in Pride had much stonger fight cards, but density of events was less then those in UFC. Pride had better audience attending shows for my taste, in UFC I see lot of show bussines, crowd showing lack of respect to fighters and sport,... I also liked Grand prix concept in Pride (it is like Masters in tennis), I miss it right now. I hope Dream organisation will grow and survive.
