I'm excluding some of the more well known fighters like Fedor, Arlovski, Lawler & Faber. Can't forget Torres and Gomi as well.

10. Carlos Condit - WEC WW Champ. Making his UFC debut against Martin Kampmann. I love both fighters and I feel this fight will be one of the better fights that night. Hopefully he fares well in the UFC.

9. Norafumi "Kid" Yammamoto - Wildy entertaining and has fought some of the best, Although I'm uncertain if he still fights. If anyone knows. Let me know.

8. Eddie Alvarez - Lethal hands, well rounded and a top ranked LW. Just recently been submitted by Shinya Aoki with a lethal heelhook. The UFC should bring him in, He'd cause some mayhem in the LW division.

7. Nick Diaz - You can't disagree that this guy is fun to watch. Very entertaining and has some great wins under his belt. From him outstriking Lawler to that brilliant gogoplata on Gomi.

6. Vitor Belfort - Lightning quick hands, K.O. Power and a BB in BJJ from his best friend, the late Carlson Gracie. Just recently defeated a top 5 MW on his 2nd fight after his damn near 10 year absence from MMA.

5. Proffessor X - Very entertaining and talented. He's making his fight debut in the UFC against Denis Kang later in the year. And will be a great addition to the MW division.

4. Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen - Very powerful lightweight. And a pretty good all round fighter. He's 1-1 with currently ranked #2 LW Aoki.

3. JZ Calvancante - Another excellent LW with well rounded muay thai/BJJ that the UFC needs to sign.

2. Gegard Mousasi - 21 years old. Very very well rounded and has all the tools to one day become a champion.

1. Shinya Aoki - Has some of the more memorable submissions in MMA. And he's just a beast. They really need to one day bring him in to fight Penn for the #1 spot in the LW rankings.

UFC already has a Nate Diaz... why not bring in Nick.. haha.

I guess I need to pay more attention to the smaller organizations because I don't know any of those guys other then Vitor Belfort

There's probably more but that's all I could come up with. The lightweight division is my favorite division so that's why I have so many listed.

Gegard Mousasi was supposed to fight Vitor at the last Affliction card but had to pull out. Thankfully they had Lindland available instead of feeding Vitor some can. Hopefully Gegard will be fighting Belfort on the next card. That match up is golden.

And Having both Nick and Nate in the UFC would be badass. We'd get to see them square off against the Miller bros.

The DREAM cards are usually good. Reminds me of the Pride Grand Prix tournaments, from the gloves to the ring announcer screaming out the fighters names. All they're missing are Bas Rutten and Quadros doing commentary.

K-1 piece together stellar cards as well.

I also forgot to add Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza on that list. That guy is also an animal. He woulda won the DREAM MW Grand Prix, If it wasn't for Mousasi knocking him the fuck out.

Yeah I was thinking about Shields. Then I realized how much I hated him. Kos, Fitch, Johnson, Hazelett, Alves, Hughes, Gono would all be able to take him. He has no hands, and judging from his last fight with Paul Daley, he's got no gas tank. Just Gracie BJJ, in a division where most of the fighters are well rounded with their skill sets.

Paul Daley is great too. But he has no ground game. Same with Melvin Manhoef. Excellent strikers, but both need to work on their jitz.
