MMAJunkie is reporting the next Affliction match will be in November and possibly the 8th.

http://mmajunkie.com/news/4866/affliction-likely-to-return-nov-8.mma

As expected, Affliction will use many of the fighters that took part in this past Saturday's "Affliction: Banned" debut show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Now boasting the majority of the world's top-10 heavyweight fighters, Atencio said the big guys will again be on display in November.

"We're obviously going to use the guys who won (on Saturday)," Atencio said. "Josh Barnett definitely. Who we're going to set him up with -- we're going to talk about that as well. (Also), Andrei Arlovski definitely. We have three-fight contracts with these guys.

"And ... obviously Fedor. Everybody I'm sure wants to watch him fight. Is that guy amazing or what?"

Only three fight contracts? That's kind of strange.

I believe UFC has similar contracts....plus Affliction probably didn't want to do any longer and have to owe a lot of money if they didn't make it.

Yea, from a CEO perspective I wouldn't want to overextend my limits since they were signed before seeing how the general "MMA pulic" would adhered to it, I guess I would say that they exceeded their own expectations so we'll see some more signings here before Affliction Banned II

MMAWeekly is now reporting the new Affliction event could be October 11th. They seem anxious but they should make sure they give themselves enough time to put on another good show.

It's because Fedor has a fight for Dream in December and doesn't want to fight in November.

this is what Wikipedia has to say about DREAM, I was going to give you the lowdown on what I knew about it but it wasn't detailed enough to provide you with the answer to your question:

"DREAM is a mixed martial arts organization promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group and co-produced with the former PRIDE executives from Dream Stage Entertainment. It is the sister promotion of K-1 kick boxing. DREAM replaced FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, HERO'S. The series has many of the elaborate production values of PRIDE FC, including popular former PRIDE FC fight introducer, Lenne Hardt. In America, the promotion is aired on Mark Cuban's HDNet."

i didn't realize how close these fights are to me, all of their cards have been in mainland Japan which is a 2.5 hour plane ride north from my lil subtropical island, here's the link too if you want to check out the rest of their info and notable fighters that Wiki has laid out

Dream fights have been pretty good for the most part from what I've seen of them. They remind me of what Pride used to be.

hmm...idk if i like that idea, because given how your first fight of the night goes you're may be hanging around for the 2nd even with a win, i read that DREAM picks someone to replace you if you're deemed medically unfit after the first fight and that my friends = chumpy bullshit

I haven't seen much of Dream at all. Do they have any competition for Fedor? It looks like that will be his next fight in December since he is out for the Oct. Affliction.

not that I know of, I'll have to look into it though because I know and have heard very little about DREAM, it is relatively new too so maybe some crazy heavyweight from Japan has sprung out of the woodwork?

I am going to buy Affliction one more time. If they have another crappy band and put on such a dirty looking show, then I am out!

From reading about, it DREAM seems really weird. First of all, the first round is ten minutes?! The fight is concluded by a five minute second round. Also, the entire fight will be judged, not just the rounds and no draw will be possible. That all sounds intriguing.More chance of a finish I geusse with the ten minute first round.
But it gets weirder:There are no elbos allowed to a downed opponent(just like affliction):(, but what's weirder is that if there is a 15kg difference between the two fighters, knees to the head of a downed opponent are not allowed: Which means generally knees to the head of a down opponent are alowed since 15kg is a huge weight difference only to be seen in a few heavy weight fights. That's all fine with me, but elbows are not?!!!!!!That's just wacked!Isn't a knee to a downed opponent's head WAY more damaging than an elbow?!

the only reason that some promotions make elbows are illegal is because it's like taking a knife to someone's brow when thrown properly

Aren't elbows the hardest bone in the body? But yes, elbows are meant to cut people.

That's why all the other organizations don't allow them. But DREAM does as long as there's a 15kg or less difference in weight between the two fighters. But it doesn't allow elbos to a downed opponent?!
