So how awesome is it to see Vitor Belfort back in the mix?? Having his career put on hold from personal problems. Having his sister being kidnapped and murdered by brazillian gangsters, then having to fight a title fight against Randy Couture. Having his best friend pass away. He was a prospect. Being only 19 when he first fought in the UFC, defeating a young Wanderlei Silva, Tank Abbot, and a young ish.. Randy Couture, among other heavier competition with his Gracie BJJ, lightning strikes and heavy hands.

With an impressive K.O over a top 5 MW in Matt Lindland. I'm hoping he will continue to climb up the MW ladder. A match vs Gegard Mousasi, Akihama or even a slugfest against Melvin Manhoef or Robbie Lawlor would be interesting. Perhaps one day we will see him back in the octagon squaring off against Anderson Silva, Leban, Henderson, Maia or a rematch against Wanderlei Silva since Wandy is dropping down to MW.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on The Phenom and his recent win over a top tier MW?

He's very explosive and if he keeps it up I could definitely see him fighting top fighters in the octagon! This is very exciting I really hope he keeps winning.

I was at this fight and this KO was the sickest i've seen in a long time. Lindland was out of it for a good 3 to 5 mins.

That K.O was insane. Lindland was layed out, legs convulsing and all. Vitor has always been one of my favorites. I had doubts that he would still be able to hang with the best when he had a damn near a decade break off MMA. He's back and he looks to still be a top tier fighter.

Lindland is no pushover being an olympic caliber wrestler. He's a top ranked MW for a reason.

What is the status of Affliction now? Is anything on the horizon?
