Today was interesting. For those of you that don’t know or couldn’t figure it out, I’m into MMA and fighting. Today I was asked a unique question by a fellow fighter.

“Will you fight a Brazilian Jujitsu fighter?”

It was rather short notice and caught me off guard. I’m not a huge guy and was wondering, whether I could even make weight or if I would just be over powered if taken to the ground. After finding out the fighter was within my weight class, I couldn’t decline the match even though first impulse said “Say No… you’re out of shape, you’ll get submitted or worse… broken bones”.

But for those of you that know me, you know that, that wouldn’t be the case. I just couldn’t decline the money that was offered. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and even if I lose, I could make a name for myself as a fighter with potential future title shots.

So now I have less than 14 days to get ready for this fight that could be the spark I’ve been waiting for to get my MMA Fighting career off the ground. I look forward to keeping you all updated over the next several days with the progress, trials and tribulations and yes, ultimately the fight video of myself vs this Brazilian Jujitsu Fighter.
