We all know Fedor Emelianenko, he is arguably the number one heavyweight in the world and is the current WAMMA undisputed heavyweight champion. But aside from that, Fedor at all times seems to be emotionless. In all of his fights Fedor never shows fatigue, anger, or signs of being hurt. Even after winning many championships he doesn’t even show happiness. Is Fedor possibly a zen master?
Zen is a school of Mahayana Buddhism, referred to in Chinese as Chan. Chan is itself derived from the Sanskrit Dhyāna, which means “meditation”
Zen emphasizes dharma practice and experiential wisdom—particularly as realized in the form of meditation known as zazen—in the attainment of awakening. As such, it de-emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and the study of religious texts in favor of direct, experiential realization.
To regulate the mind, awareness is directed towards counting or watching the breath or put in the energy center below the navel.

Do you think Fedor being a zen practitioner is the reason why he is at peace with himself and such a great fighter?

He has to be! He’s so calm. He looks like he’s going out for ice cream when walking into ring for his fight.

He’s Russian…highly doubtful he’s a zen master, “there’s an icebox where his heart used to be”

he ordered ‘one with everything’

A very good man and respectful then make Fedor and GSP look elite fighters.
