Fantasy MMA Fights

As I sit here writing tonight, I thought “Who would I want to see fight that would most likely not happen”.  Thus the title of this blog.  Fantasy MMA fight.  Out of all the matchups possible out there from a cross promo persepective I narrowed it down to my top 3 fights I would love to see.

#3 Brock Lesnar vs Fedor Emelianenko

The hype used to be Fedor vs Couture but that kind of lost any luster with the recent loss of Randy Couture against Brock Lesnar.  Now it’s all about Brock vs Fedor.  I think Fedor would murder Brock personally but it would be the biggest event ever.

#2 GSP vs Anderson Silva

This fight may not be a far fetched MMA fight with the recent talks about a fight between the two.  I don’t think anyone can beat Silva at the lower weight class.  If Silva is going to get a loss it’s not going to be against GSP, we will see a loss in the higher weight classes.

#1 Miguel Torres vs Urijah Faber

Not much weight separates these two and it would be an awesome fight to see these two go at it for a few rounds.  Miguel Torres seems to not show up in enough top 5 Pound for Pound rankings and he should.  He’s incredible and is one of the toughest and most talented fighters around.  He just happens to come in a small package.

Any 3 of these fights would be huge for a MMA fight card and would be an incredible main event.  They may not be as much fantasy as reality in the near future.  Only time will tell.
