KJ Noons on the Chump List

Well hot damn, a “champ” has made it on my personal chump list. For those of you that haven’t read it, you can read his statement that he issued on MMA Junkie.

KJ, first I would say it’s time to find new management.  It seems your management is behind this problem and the major cause.  You’re claiming Diaz isn’t the #1 contender to fight you and that he shouldn’t get the fight.  Well guess what buddy, you weren’t the #1 contender to fight him the first time.  You happened to win and got the belt, now show you’re better and give Diaz the rematch.

Elite XC never promoted or took care of me as their champion.

I agree with you here but your reaction is worse than their lack of action IMO. Sometimes being the bigger person and doing the right thing shows more character than acting like a whiny teenager who didn’t get the pair of tennis shoes they wanted.  Let’s grow up KJ, you’re better than this.

You talk about the day where they flew Diaz to do autograph signings… the reason they sent him is because he has more draw and attention than you did at the time.  What makes more money?  The answer was Diaz.  Get over it.

As for your salary, that’s personal information but if the numbers you’re giving are accurate, I would go back to my first comment, fire your management and find new people to represent you.  Quite honestly, I feel this is a genius scheme that you have thought up to give you incredible press.  If that was your plan all along was to get press, then I take it back, you’re a F’n genius and now you finally have your name out there.  I guess what they say is true: Any press is good press.

I would love to hear from KJ or his team regarding the statement sent to MMA Junkie to see the real purpose behind the statement.  Would also love to hear from Jared Shaw about KJ’s statement.  Hopefully both will be available soon.
