Undercard
Jorge Boechat vs. Nicolae Cury
Round 1
Cury lands a right hand that drops Boechat to the floor after a brief exchange. Cury follows to the mat with punches, but after failing to secure Boechat’s back he returns to his feet and invited his opponent to do the same. Cury lands a leg kick that crumples Boechat to the mat where he quickly pounces and takes a high back mount. He manuevers for a reverse triange and after a few blows Cury coaxes a tapout from Boechat for the win at 1:35 of the opening frame.

David Gomez vs. Bryan Hamade
Round 1
Gomez plants Hamade to the mat after an errant kick just seconds into the scrap, but Hamade quickly works his way back to his feet. Hamade answers with a takedown of his own and works right into side-control and then mount. Hamade unleashes a torrent of strikes, but a game Gomez remains calm and sweeps Hamade and gets back to his feet. His good fortune did not last long as Hamade jumped into a guillotine choke that left Gomez gasping for air. Gomez tried to keep the fight standing as he strained to gain his breath, but as a last second option he tried to slam his way out. Once the fight hit the mat it was virtually over. With a deep arm-in guillotine latched on, Hamade elicited the submission as Gomez capitulated at 2:03 of the first period.

Lorenzo Borgomeo vs. Mikey Gomez
Round 1
The fighters trade leg kicks early in the round as they feel each other out while searching for an opening. Niether man can gain an advantage on the feet as they continue to trade strikes in the center of the cage. The fighters clinch along the fencing and Borgomeo lands a stinging right hand. With less than a minute to go in the round, Gomez takes the fight to the mat with a takedown. He finished the round from the top position and has the lead on the scorecard according to Sherdog.
Round 2
Gomez begins to assert himself as the second round gets underway. He lands a flurry of punches and clinches to throw a knee. Gomez changes levels and takes the bout to the canvas where he quickly takes Borgomeo’s back. Borgomeo turns back into his opponent and after a short struggles regains half-guard. Gomez scrambles and scampers all the way round Borgomeo and takes his back once again only to have Borgomeo turn back once again. Gomez resets his base and takes Borgomeo’s left arm in a text book armbar to end the fight at 4:06 of the second stanza.

Edson Berto vs. Connor Heun
Round 1
Berto throws a big head kick but Huen blocks it for the most part as the fight gets off to a quick start. Berto finding his range, but Huen refuses to back down. Huen throws a leg kick that Berto catches before dropping Huen to the mat with a straight right hand. Huen tries to stand but Berto locks up a guillotine and falls to his guard. Huen easily escapes and the two men scramble for position. Berto, back on his feet, begins to unload landing a series of punches before exclamating the flurry with a hard body kick. There is no quit in Huen, who takes the fight back to the ground where he goes to work from Berto’s guard. Huen aggressively pounds away until the bell and opens up a cut around Berto’s left eye. The late offensive by Huen garners him the nod on the Sherdog.com scorecard 10-9.
Round 2
Heun charges across the cage slinging leather the entire way as the second round starts. Berto avoids the worst of it before landing a big flying knee. Heun doesn’t budge a bit and slams Berto to the mat and begins a ground and pound barrage. During the attack he drops a downward elbow and Referee Troy Waugh immediately halts the action to take a point from Heun. Undeterred, Heun takes the fight back to the mat and pounds Berto with hammerfists and elbow from the top. This time Waugh steps in to protect a bloody and battered Berto. Conner Heun is awarded the TKO victory at 2:18 of the second round.
Outcome: Conner Heun by TKO
Seth Petruzelli vs. Aaron Rosa
This fight is not happening. Petruzelli may be a replacement for Shamrock if he can’t fight.
Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. Yoko Takahashi (CBS, time-permitting)
Round 1
Cyborg fires out of her corner and clobbers Yoko Takahashi with a vicious volley of punches that leave her reeling just seconds into the bout. Takahashi finally hits the mat after absorbing a ton of punishment, only to have Cyborg go to her submission game. Cyborg misses an armbar and Takahashi sweeps to the top position. Cyborg tries to lock up a triangle but finds herself defending strikes as the round comes to an end. Cyborg takes the first round, 10-9 on the Sherdog card.
Round 2
Cyborg lands a big left hand to start things in the second. Takahashi immediately drops for a single-leg attempt. Cyborg fights off the attempt and continues her offensive. Cyborg is taking target practice now as she continues to batter Takahashi with punches and kicks. Takahashi, to her credit, is not backing down at all and although she has mounted no offense she has proven her toughness. Round two goes to Cyborg 10-9 once again.
Round 3
Cyborg’s pace has slowed a bit as the women move into the final frame. Takahashi is actually moving forward and Cyborg is content to counter punch. Takahashi lands a hard spinning-back fist, but Cyborg doesn’t budge an inch, she actually lands a hard right hand of her own to answer. Cyborg backs Takahashi into the cage and batters her with another flurry of punches as the final bell sounds. Sherdog scores the final round 10-9 for Santos.
Outcome: Cyborg by Unanimous Decision (30 – 26, 30 – 27, 30 – 27)
Main Card
Benji Radach vs. Murilo “Ninja” Rua
Round 1
Benji came out swinging for the fences and stunned Ninja with some big punches. Ninja Rua looks stunned and about to fall over. Big double punch and both fell down. Fight has gone to the ground, which is good for Ninja Rua. Now both fighters back up to the clinch. Benji had a half ass guillotine attempt. Ninja coming with knees and the fight is back on the mat. Benji has taken top position in Rua’s guard. Rua had a heel hook but Benji slipped out rather easy. Now Benji is in another heel hook. Blood has starting coming from Rua’s face. MMA Chump has it 10 – 9 for Rua.
Round 2
Rua came out with knees and kicks to Benji looking revitalized. Big knees to Benji from Rua to his mid section. Benji landed big right hand that backed up Rua who is bleeding from his eye and his nose. Rua going for take down but Benji wasn’t having any of it and kept the fight standing. Benji landed another big punch taking Rua down and just 2 more punches to Rua on the ground and the ref stepped in to stop the fight.
Outcome: Benji Radach by TKO
Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobold
Round 1
Gina landed an overhand right with the first punch. Kelly went to try for a takedown and Gina has been defending very well so far. The fight has been in the same position for the first minute of the fight. It broke open now though and Gina is landing big punches. In the clinch, Gina has landed a few knees. Kelly looks exhausted from trying to take Gina down and has been unsuccessful. Kobold is bleeding from the top of her head pretty badly. MMA Chump gives the round 10 – 9 to Gina.
Round 2
Carano starts by landing some big punches again. The fighters return to the grappling standing up against the cage that most of Round 1 was spent in. Kobold had Gina in an almost Guillotine but Carano popped her head out and returned fire with some punches. Carano is bobbing and weaving landing some nice counter punches. Carano set up a big flying knee but Kobold didn’t walk into it. Kobold finally got Gina down to the ground but there wasn’t enough time to do anything from the mat. MMA Chump gives the round 10 – 9 to Gina.
Round 3
Kobold goes back to grappling trying to start Round 3 where Round 2 ended. Kobold has been doing some feet stomps. Ref moved to middle of ring due to no improvements by the fighters. Big knee by Gina to Kobold as she approached. Kobold is getting wild with her punches. Gina had a Rear Naked cchoke from the side but couldn’t finish it. (announcer is a moron and called it a Guillotine) Gina had a nice high kick to Kobold’s face. MMA Chump gives this round to Gina as well 10 – 9.
Outcome: Gina Carano by Unanimous Decision (29 – 28, 30 – 27, 30 – 27)
Andrei Arlovski vs. Roy Nelson (Affliction Co-Event)
Round 1
Arlovski starts with some leg kicks against Nelson and quickly goes to clinch. Arlovski took Nelson to the mat with a trip. Nelson takes side mount. Very heavy with a brown belt could be very dangerous. Roy looks really good on the ground but Arlovski made a smart move and turned away rolled out but Nelson is back on top of Arlovski and is going for an arm lock. The ref brought the fighters back up which I don’t agree with as Nelson was making progress. They quickly get back to the clinch and Arlovski landed a nasty knee. Ref separated due to lack of movement. Arlovski looks like he got a sudden burst of energy and started throwing some nice combinations and landing them. They are back against the cage in the clinch again during the last 10 seconds. MMA Chump has 10 – 9 for Arlovski.
Round 2
Nelson came out with a big left hook to start Round 2 and the fighters are back to the clinch against the cage again. They release on their own accord and Arlovski is unloading. Nelson looks exhausted. Arlovski is unloading on Nelson and landed the knockout punch. Nelson looked upset because the ref stopped the fight after the huge punch.

Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley (for EliteXC welterweight title)
Round 1
Jake Shields started striking surprisingly but went for the take down but Daley sprawled to keep the fight standing. Shields shot at Daley and is working to pass the guard Daley going for full mount and succeeded. Shields is working the ground and pound right now keeping full mount. Shields went to side control momentarily but took full mount again. Daley unsuccessful in getting out from under Shields with his elite Jiu Jitsu skills. Jake tried for an armbar couldn’t get it and now Daley is in Shields full guard pounding him with the round ending shortly after. MMA Chump scores the fight 10 – 9 for Shields.
Round 2
Round 2 started with Shields trying to get the fight back to the ground and Daley sprawling to keep the fight on his feet. Shields ends up taking Daley back down getting full mount once again and going to ground and pound. Shields is just controlling the fight right now. Shields pulled his position into an arm bar and Daley could not hold on.
Outcome: Jake Shields by Submission – Arm Bar
Kimbo Slice vs Seth Petruzelli
Is it just me or did Kimbo look nervous?
Round 1
WOW WOW WOW Petruzelli came out and won in seconds! Petruzelli looked hesitant but landed a good one and laid him out. The ref stopped the fight after some punches with no response from Kimbo.
