Gina Carano Next Fight… Not with Elite XC

Well with today’s breaking news, the fight with Gina Carano vs Cris Cyborg will not be under the Elite XC roof.  It is uncertain and probably unlikely that the fight will even occur now.  I know this is sad news to fans of Gina Carano.

Hopefully Tom Atencio has room for these female MMA fighters under the Affliction name and can schedule them in for the January event for their Day of Reckoning fight card.  We will be talking with Tom Atencio on our “radio” show on Sunday and will definitely bring up the subject of this with Tom and get his thoughts and if anything can happen on that.

Until then, the fates of Elite XC fighters hang in the balance.  UFC and Affliction will likely go after these fighters once the announcement of Elite XC closing shop is made official.
