Ken Shamrock Fight Scratched

There are rumors circulating that Ken Shamrock has sustained a cut within the last day and may not be able to fight.  Right now it is being said that Seth Petruzelli would be the replacement for Shamrock if he can’t fight.  We’ll give you an official announcement once we have more information.

It is confirmed by Elite XC officials that Ken Shamrock fight has been scratched.  No official replacement announcement has been announced.

Just announced live on CBS that Ken Shamrock was not allowed to fight due to cut sustained over his eye.  Kimbo Slice vs Seth Petruzelli.

Interview on CBS with Ken Shamrock, you can see the 6 stitches over his eye and any punch would would have opened that eye immediately.  It was an old cut that got re-opened when doing a light workout.  The commission would not allow him to fight.  Ken’s doctor said it would need stitches.

Ken looked severely dissappointed that he couldn’t fight and said he would fight if they would allow him, it wasn’t his decision.

Dr. Allan Fields reported that he received a head butt that resulted in a cut over his eye.  He examined his eye and saw the stitches and couldn’t allow the fight due to the recent cut and because it was right over his eye, he wasn’t able to fight.  Had it not obscured his vision it sounded like they would have allowed him to fight.

Kimbo didn’t want to take the fight against Seth Petruzelli until they offered him more money.
