I know, I’ve been absent for a few days. I apologize.

Lets get right to the action.

If you haven’t heard yet, THQ Inc. announced the UFC® 2009 Undisputed Video game. While it won’t be ready for about a year, this game will provide fans a means of unleashing their favorite fighter’s specialty.

It is being reported that Bob Aniello, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, THQ is quoted as saying “As the leading fighting video game publisher*, we feel the rising popularity of the UFC brand and its incredible mixed martial arts experience make UFC 2009 Undisputed the perfect addition to our expanding portfolio. UFC 2009 Undisputed is certain to be the most realistic fighting game to date, including advanced collision detection and AI systems that incorporate individual fighter styles.”

There will be a huge roster of the top fighters across all 5 weight classes. Players will be fighting in the Octagon surrounded by trainers, announcers, commentators, referees, girls, and fans.

If you haven’t seen the trailer, you can see it here.

It will provide easy and responsive controls that will usher in the next generation of fighting games. Players will be able to choose any of the techniques and even create themselves as a fighter.

It will be available for at least XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3 in 2009.

I can’t wait, can you?

I am very excited. If the game play looks like the trailer, I’m ecstatic. I just hope they didn’t make it where the simulation and demo videos look 3 times as good as the actual game.
