Despite other blog posts that stated all fighters of UFN 14 had clean tests, James Irvin tested positive for methadone and oxymorphone according to the NSAC’s urine analysis.
I understand the oxymorphone as it’s used to treat pain relief and looking at that eye in the picture above, that’s a good reason to have taken some oxymorphone after the fight. However, methadone is typically used to treat addictions to pills or other narcotics.

synthetic opioid, used medically as an analgesic, antitussive and a maintenance anti-addictive for use in patients on opioids.
This is a bit confusing on why Irvin would be testing positive for methadone. Either way, neither of the two items that Irvin tested positive for are approved by the NACS.

Methadone is used as a pain reliever as well–usually for moderate to severe pain.
