Okami-Silva Rematch Is Off

As most of us prepare to watch Silva dismantle Irvin, I am sad to inform you that it appears that Okami has broken his hand again which should prevent the rematch from occuring.

We were hoping that we could see the rematch at UFC 90 in Chicago.

“Silva and Okami originally fought during the first-round of Rumble on the Rock’s star-filled middleweight tournament two years ago. In a fight that Silva dominated, he ended up being disqualified after illegally up-kicking Okami while he still had a knee on the canvas. Okami was knocked out and unable to continue, forcing Silva to make an early exit from the tourney. “

For those of you interested in seeing Cote versus Silva though, that will become the next fight for Silva presuming he doesn’t WOW everyone at 205 and stay there, or get hurt and need type to re-coup.
