UFC 88: Potential Additions

UFC 88 is building up to be another solid card from the UFC.

Karo Parisyan will face Yoshiyuki Yoshida.

Karo is an amazing Judo fighter. His fight against Diego Sanchez August 2006 was an amazing display as him and Diego literally cartwheeled around the ring. While he lost that fight, he won his next 3 beating Drew Fickett and Josh Burkman. His last fight was in April to Thiago Alves where he lossed by TKO. He will be looking to rebound and make his way back up the 170 ladder.

Yoshiyuki Yoshida on the other hand is on a 9 win streak. He debuted in May in the UFC versus Jon Koppenhaver where he won with amazing anaconda choke in the 1st round. Known also for his Judo, unlike Karo he has a tendency to TKO his opponents.

This will certainly be an exciting match. It will depend on who can get the advantage early and more than likely will end in a decision victory.

Prediction: Karo with a split decision.

Dan Henderson will stay at 185 and fight Rousimar Palhares.

If you know MMA you know Dangerous Dan Henderson. One of the top fighters at both 205 and 185 his debuts in the UFC were losses in both divisions to the Champs unifying the Pride and UFC belts. At 22-7 though his talent is far more reaching than many have seen so far. He is one of the top wrestlers with dynamite hands.

Rousimar Palhares on the other hand is Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Blackbelt and won almost all of his fights by submission. He fights out of Brazillian Top Team and had a sick Arm Lock versus Ivan Salaverry at UFC 84 and has had some impressive leglocks versus Negao and Acacio. Dan Henderson will be his toughest opponet yet.

Prediction: Hendo’s wrestling will be too much for Palhares submission attempts. Dan TKO victory over Rousimar.
