MMAJunkie is reporting that the UFC has begun making calls to gather the warriors for battle. Tentatively scheduled for October 25 that would happen only a week after UFC 89 in the UK.

Usually Dana and the UFC spreads the events out by 2 weeks, but if true it would mean that we would get another event potentially to compete with the October Elite XC event.

Who would be ready to fight? Anderson Silva has request to fight 3 or 4 times this year. Forrest may be ready for his first title defense. Matt Hughes, Thiago Alves, Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio Rua, Minotauro, Keith Jardine, Sean Sherk, BJ Penn. We could see any of these names on this card.

I have a lot of faith in Joe Silva to create a solid card, and as we’ve seen if they are competing versus another organization it will certainly be an exciting event.
