Rampage Disses Forrest

Fighters Only Magazine recently interviewed Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. He had some things to say about his last fight with Forrest Griffin:
“I just want my fans to know, I was at my worst and Forrest was at his best – and I still beat him.
He added: “A man is not a man if he can’t ‘fess up to when he gets his ass kicked. See me, if I get my ass kicked I am like ‘yeah, I got my ass kicked’.
The decision of the fight was controversial to some but for Rampage to think he kicked Forrest’s ass? Come on Rampage. You may have been at your worst but you didn’t kick Forrest’s ass even if he did win another round.
I’m not saying Forrest kicked Rampage’s ass either but he did win the decision in the judges eyes and most people watching.
Rampage went on to say:
“But now, I don’t respect him as a man. Because if it was me, I would have said, ‘I have to give him a rematch right away, to remove all doubt’.
“I’m a man and when you fight it’s all about honour. I’m not angry at him or anything, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve lost respect for him as a man.”
This is ridiculous. How could Rampage lose respect for Forrest as a man? Even if Rampage did win, the judges decided Forrest won. I’m sure the new light heavyweight champion is going to come right out and say he didn’t deserve to win and he got his ass kicked. I think he would lose more respect doing that and risk losing money from his next contract, sponsors, appearance fee’s, etc.
Forrest was also the first to say after the fight they will fight again. I don’t think he is opposed or scared to fight Rampage again but he is just waiting to see who the UFC wants him to fight. That of course is Chuck Lidell but he has to get past Rashad Evans in two weeks.

I’m not exactly sure why Rampage is acting like this..He had nothing but respect for Forrest after there fight..I guess he’s doing it to instigate a rematch right away instead of fighting Shogun or someone else first.
