Whoaa. Not fair. Lesnar really got $500,000? GSP only got $180,000 with the bonus! Wow that’s fucked up.

They’re rumored payouts. No official payouts were released.

Lesnar was paid around 250 K for getting beat by Muir. Instead of paying tried and tested fighters the big bucks a newcomer has become the UFC’s Hulk Hogan and is making an unfair share of the purse. Nothing against Brock, this shows how f’ed up Zuffa is.

Anywho who doesn’t understand why Brock would be making that much doesn’t understand the business side of things…besides his potential, his drawing power for PPV buys is ENORMOUS

Yup, just like Tito and Kimbo. They bring people to the arena and get PPV buys… it’s why they get more money.

GSP is phenomenal, but Brock Lesnar brings in new fans. Many who had never before watched a UFC PPV tuned in for Lesnar vs Mir and despite how amazing both fighters are, the fight that people were most excited about at UFC 87 was Lesnar vs Herring.
Also, GSP doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy that would negotiate his paycheck too much. He seems happy to fight and seems like he would take whatever they offer him. Brock, on the other hand, has been quoted to say that he goes with the money.
