UFC 92 Predictions

Ultimate 2008 is coming and here’s who i would put my money on.

Cheick Kongo vs Mustapha Al Turk

Cheick Kongo has been around for a while and Mustapha is a relative newcomer so I would normally pick Kongo but when i saw the Junior dos Santos fight and since he was new as well so I started swaying towards Mustapha since he likes to stand up and bang and he could overwhelm Cheick who has fallen out of the spot light after a few boring fights. Bottom line I realized oh wait Kongo is a grecco roman wrestling and kickboxing champ and he trains with top ranked fighters like Michael Bisping and Rampage Jackson so yeah i would be stupid to pick Al Turk so I’m picking Kongo.

Rampage Jackson vs Wanderlei Silva

Rampage is coming off a loss to Griffin and Silva is coming off  win against Jardine i think that rampage is going to have not get tricked into standing up with him hes gonna have slam him down and take control early or silva will using his superior stand up to win it. this is gonna be the hardest to call the whole night and i dont rampage is gonna be able to slam wanderlei wich takes away his whole game plan so i have to give it to silva. 

Dollaway vs Massenzio

CB Dollaway is alot like Josh Koshcheck hes an allstar wrestler who learned some average standup and a few submissions and they have served him pretty well but massenzio seams to be able to get  standup and  submission wins and so far dollaway hasnt exactly shown all that much improvement from the ultimate fighter.BUT i am going to pick dollaway because i think that if he can tire him out with take downs and get some decent shots in he can slip on that little necktie and seal the deal. then he’ll have loads of time to leanr a new submission.

Nogueira vs Mir

these guys are about the same size both submission experts and both are improving drastically on there striking. i dont see anybody getting ko’d i do think that if somebody is gonna get some kind of submission its going to be mir because he takes more time with them just like in the lesnar fight he took the biggest beating i have ever seen i thought he was done for but he waited until he had lesnar in an unescapeable hold so i think if hes patient he might get something so if i were a betting man i would bet this goes to the ground within the first round and stays there until the end of the fight with either a submission or a decision win for mir.

Griffin vs Evans

these guys are two incredible fighters two TUF winners Griffin did the impossible and beat Rampage and Evans had his huge win over light heavy weight superstar Chuck Liddell. so who is gonna win it forrest with his incredible chin and heart or evans with his solid stricking and takedowns. Forrest wil not win this fight i said it before with rampage and i know people will say but rampage was a good wrestler to. this is true but rashad has better striking than forest either way standing or on the canvas “Sugar” wins.
