The initial estimates are out and it looks to be in the range of 700,000 to 800,000. The lower number being the closer estimate right now with possibility of getting to 750,000 to 800,000 in the next couple weeks.
While the numbers aren’t bad they are a good quarter million shy of Dana White’s alleged mark that he predicted. So we’ll wait to see if a different UFC event can top the mark of 1 million. There are some mega cards coming up in the first quarter of 2009 that definitely have the potential of making that mark.

What was the highest selling PPV? Liddell vs Ortiz 2? I think that brought in around 1.5 million.

Before this event the highest was 650,000 in UFC 81.

You sure? Check Liddell vs Ortiz 2 Im pretty sure it was around 1 million. I could be mistaken though.
