The next edition of UFC Primetime for the BJ Penn and GSP fight will air tonight. There were talks that BJ would not be continuing the show because of he the production made him look on the show. The show doesn’t make BJ Penn look like he has a legitimate chance of beating GSP. BJ Penn, I agree…. with UFC Primetime.
Penn reportedly is displeased over how the first episode was edited and shown on Spike TV, and doesn’t want to be involved in the show any more. A “source close to the show” reportedly told MMA Junkie that Penn has stopped taping an interview just eight minutes in, and said he doesn’t plan on participating in the series any more.
In case you missed the first episode on Jan. 14, the episode ended with Penn going on a five-day vacation, which helped create an illusion that Penn isn’t taking the fight with St. Pierre seriously. The fact that Penn’s biggest problem inside the cage has been his lack of conditioning, the Spike TV show made it look even worse for “The Prodigy.”
So I’m not sure if BJ will be on the show tonight or not. Only time will tell.

BJ has to know that his reputation for not taking things seriously preceeds him. This a situation of his own making.

Apparently his pulling out of the UFC Primetime series was just a rumor.

SIll it says alot about the type of fighter he is and how serious he takes things. But if BJ can be champ without complete commitment then more power to him.
