WEC WrekCAGE on Versus

If you haven’t been watching the WEC the 2nd Season of WrekCAGE began on June 5th and airs all the time on VERSUS.

The WEC brings 2 divisions that recently have provided maybe the best fights I have ever seen in my life. The bantamweights (135) and featherweights (145) are some of the fastest and most technically sound fighters I have watched. They bring a fast pace, and because they can’t really knock eachother out, go for 3 or 5 rounds every time.

How can you be disappointed watching guys scrap?

It airs every Wednesday at 9pm eastern, but it re-airs multiple times throughout the week.

I see the WEC providing the UFC a farm system much like baseball has. Fighters can prove themselves against opponents closer to their skill level, and eventually gain enough notiriety to move up. This will always provide better fights for us, and keep some of the young guns on the radar longer. How many fighter did you think would be amazing, they have 1 or 2 good fights, and then lose 2 in a row and drop of the map.

But don’t get me wrong. The WEC will give you more than Nashville Sounds Iowa Cubs game.

The fighters are solid, and if you haven’t heard the name Urijah Faber, you are missing out.
